Cameron Grove is another excellent Active Adult community in Prince George's County. It is located in Upper Marlboro on Route 214 across from Six Flags and is the first active adult retirement community in Prince George's County. It began in 2000 and construction there is still ongoing.
This retirement community is in a very attractive location surrounded by natural beauty and away from shopping centers and the hustle and bustle of more some of the more commercialized complexes. The entrance to Cameron Grove is attractively designed and landscaped and the community has a nice layout. The complex offers condos, semi-detached villa style homes called garden cottages, and single family detached homes.
The condos of Cameron Grove include one model of a 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath with solarium/den unit and six models of those with 2 Bedrooms and 2 baths. Each suite has a 4-season solarium sun room. Standard features include ceramic tiled floors in entryways, crown and chair rail molding, gourmet kitchens, luxury baths, raised six-panel doors, and wall-to-wall carpeting throughout. There is a choice of vinyl flooring colors in the kitchen and baths. Prices range from the $260's to the low $300's depanding upon size ahd floor level. The Condo Fees and HOA Fees are Low: $90 + $59 for a 1Bedroom and $106+$69 for a 2 Bedroom.
There are 4 models of villas/cottages: The Aspen II, The Elm, The Willow, and The Birch. All have 2 bedrooms and 2 baths except The Birch, which has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. Prices range from the $420's to the $460's. Some are available with a 2nd floor loft, bedroom and full bath. The Community Fee is $157 per month
There are also 4 models of the detached homes: The Azalea, the Dogwood, The Holly, and The Magnolia. All have 2 bedrooms and 2 baths except the Dogwood, which has 3 bedrooms. Prices range from $550's-$600's depending upon options. Two models are available with a 2nd floor loft, bedroom and full bath. The community fee is $187 per month. Basements and a 2nd floor are extra options.
